Neighborhood Stabilization Program

The Fayette County Redevelopment Authority received a $1.8 million competitive grant through the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Neighborhood Stabilization Program to support an initiative aimed at stabilizing neighborhoods by targeting areas with high concentrations of foreclosed properties. The funding from this grant is being used to purchase and rehabilitate foreclosed homes in the Cities of Connellsville and Uniontown and build new homes in the Borough of Masontown, all of which will then be sold to new homebuyers. Funding is also being used to demolish blighted, dilapidated homes in the Cities of Uniontown and Connellsville.
