Funding Sources

Appalachian Regional Commission

The Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) advocates and partners with communities in Appalachia to help create opportunities which improve quality of life and lead to self-sustaining economic development. As one of two Counties in Pennsylvania designated as "distressed", Fayette County receives an annual allocation of ARC funding which is generally utilized to support economic development activities. In 2002, RACF utilized ARC funding to further support the development of the Fayette County Business Park on Route 40 and New Salem Road in South Union Township.
